Greetings! We are Kate, Sacha and Guru the greyhound! 👧🧔🐕💟 Sacha is a Kiwi Melbournian and Kate is from Melbourne 🐨. We are fairly new to couchsurfing and enjoying it so far with positive experiences 😀. We are a couple in our late 30's and have an apartment in Thornbury - an inner northern cosmopolitan suburb of Melbourne.

We live close to High street which has many great cafes, restaurants, bars and music venues! If you like good food - we are in foodie town! 😋🍔🍝. There are many gluten free, vegetarian and vegan catering restaurants in the area too. We are very close to public transport with major tram and train lines going into the city centre.🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️___🚊🚇

Our favourite foods: Burgers, Pasta, Ramen, Sushi, Mexican, Pho and Dumplings!

Sacha loves books, science fiction/fantasy, sociology, bush-doof festivals, space rockets, table tennis, chess, backgammon, hot dice, quiche, board games and cryptocurrency talks. Sacha is an experienced chess player and always loves a game! Sacha likes rugby (favourite team is the All Blacks).

Kate loves great food, chocolate, long baths, massages, relaxing, napping, taking the dog for nature walks, snuggling with the dog, meeting new people, online bargain shopping, board games, long deep chats and watching sci-fi, dramas and documentaries! (favourite game is Dixit).

Guru is an x-racing greyhound who is muscular and lean - much like the Arnold Schwarzenegger of dogs! 🏋‍♂️🐕 Guru loves eating grass, cheese and greek yoghurt. He love pats, snuggles, ear rubs, ponds, getting muddy and long naps.

We are LBGTIQA+ and polyamory friendly people! 🌈💟
We are friendly and conversational. We love hosting couchsurfers and hearing stories from travellers of the world we live in! 👫🐕🏠🌍💖

We keep our house in very neat and clean condition so we only accept well rated couch-surfers who will respect our home space in a similar way. If you are slobbish, perhaps we aren't the right hosts. We don't host new couchsurfers and only host couchsurfers with some experience and multiple positive references. So far this has worked out very well for us.

We also don't drink alcohol, party much or stay out late. But feel free to BYO drinks and put them in the fridge. If you are into drinking and partying every night, we are probably not the right hosts for you.

Some basic rules:
Quiet after 9.30pm on work nights
Keep your towel on the hook in the guest room
Keep the communal spaces tidy
Don't trash the house
Smoke outside
Don't let the dog out
Be nice to the dog 🐕

- Kate knows lots of great places to eat in Melbourne including cheap places!

- Kate loves taking photos of guests including selfies! She can send you all the photos from your stay.

- Sacha has travelled parts of Australia (Canberra and Western Australia) and can give you travel advice and explain the history of Australia and Melbourne.

- Sacha knows a lot about the museums, libraries and galleries of Melbourne.

- Sacha is great at teaching people new games. He can also help you learn chess moves!
