ABOUT ME

My name is Katelyn, and I am from North Carolina. I am twenty years old, and right now I studying abroad in Sevilla, Spain until the middle of May. As a result, I am currently re-considering my whole life's plan...I attend the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and I am a huge Tarheel Basketball fan! I am a very out-going person, and I make new friends wherever I am. I have made some of the best friends of my life by starting up a conversation with a complete stranger in the most random places. I am EXTREMELY spontaneous, but I think that keeps life exciting. It is not unlike me to decide to take a four hour road trip to visit someone at 12 a.m. with no prior plans...some of my best memories...I live for these adventures. I love the outdoors!!...hiking, camping, going to the beach, ANYTHING OUTSIDE!! I am obsessed with my camera and take millions of pictures. I really love sports (playing and watching). I am passionate in every sense of the word.....love hard, fight hard.... I am extremely tender-hearted...to a fault. A little stubborn at times (just a little) ; )I absolutely can't stand to be late for anything, but besides that I am really laid back....It takes A LOT to make me angry, and I don't have any enemies. I LOVE THIS LIFE and I try to make the most of every second!!

You only live once so Live in the Moment. No hesitations and No regrets...Love with everything you have : ) Don't ever hold back. You have to be vulnerable to really feel anything and love and pain is being alive!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am just getting started. However, I live to travel, and I want to make friends all over the world! : ) I will not be able to host until May of this year, because I am studying abroad. As soon as I return to the states, I plan on offering my couch. I know that being a part of the CS Project is going to bring me many new friends and unforgettable experiences. I hope that, with my couch, I can help to create these same experiences for the next person! Right now I am interested in traveling in Europe, but after May I believe I will want to use CS to travel the US as well!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Unfortunately, I currently have zero couch-surfing experience! : ( I have heard about this website from several friends, and have always thought it was such an amazing concept!! For now, I am only interested in surfing, since I am living with a host family. I am trying to visit as many places in Europe as I possibly can in the next three months! : ) I understand that in order to take advantage of this opportunity it is necessary to build experience and trust. I look forward to building these new relationships!

Music, Movies, and Books

I never watch TV, because I can't sit down long enough. I am always up and about doing something. I haven't seen that many movies, and I can't match celebrity names with faces. I love any kind of music!! minus screaming bands : ( Going to concerts is one of my favorte things in the world. There is nothing better than live music. I have some very talented friends who I get to hear all the time...I'm a little spoiled...I really don't read that much either, but this is something that I want to change. I know there are so many good books out there...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done in my lifetime was my recent trip to Morocco. I never would have imagined I would be riding camels in Africa this year!!
