ABOUT ME

I'm a 26 year old graduate student and living in Tempe, AZ. I'm completing my Masters in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (MTESOL) at Arizona State University in hopes of moving on to a University teaching position abroad. Tempe has a lot of great shows and tons of wonderful restaurants. My boyfriend, Phill, and I live together in a 1 bedroom apartment but there's plenty of space in the living room to host. We'd also love to get a beer/coffee and chat. Our apartment is modest but what we lack in size we make up for in our vinyl and board games collections! Things I love: my bicycle, coffee, music, books, rock climbing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been a CS member since I traveled in Spain and stayed with a lovely couple in Portugal. It has been such a wonderful group to be a part of and I'm excited to continue meeting great people.

Intereses

My interests are somewhat endless:
great music, collecting vinyl, exploring, ghosts!, bike riding, Spanish language and culture, films, reading (Latin American literature & "magical realism" are favorites) rock climbing, nights in with board games, the world of coffee, thrift store shopping, meeting new people and continuing to meet the ones I know.

Gabriel Garcia Marquez is my favorite author but I also enjoy Chuck Palanhiak, Hunter S. Thompson, Jonathan Safran Foer, Dave Eggers, etc... I will read almost any Latin American or magical realism literature

As for music, I could talk for days and days about my favorite music. Instead I'll just list a few of my favorite bands: White Stripes, Eels, Of Montreal, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Strokes, Interpol, Yo Le Tengo, Murder by Death, Spoon....
