About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to rid myself of the travel bug & finish my degree.. or just become a professional traveller
ABOUT ME
I am a travel addict, but love being home with my family too. I love nothing more than living, working or exploring another country, but Australia is just too far away from everything else.
I love to have a bit of a drink and dance with friends or randoms. Love eating new foods, trying new things, learning the history & culture of new places & generally just having fun whilst doing it all!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I return home I will happily host CS depending on where I am living as it is a great way to see a locality through the eyes of a local, invaluable really!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first & only couchsurfing experience so far was in New York, 2008 just before Christmas. My friend & I had amazing hosts, they took us out Christmas shopping with them, up to Harlem for African food, out for beer to watch a football game & drew us maps of the city so we wouldn't get lost & could see all the sites. We even enjoyed homemade cookies while there was a blizzard outside!
Then the following year we had a direct swap & one of our hosts stayed with both of us on his travels in Australia (despite the fact that we were bothing sporting broken limbs)!
Then following that upon my return to the US my sister & i once again surfed with one of our original hosts!
