About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Have fun!

ABOUT ME

Brainy, explorative, easy-going, artsy.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't sweat the small stuff.
When in doubt, read a book.
Fear is the mindkiller.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

To meet people!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Every single time has been Mildly Decent. I always seem to meet the kindest, most interesting people, who make my trip 1000x better than it would have been otherwise.

Interests

Cooking, reading, playing instruments, surfing, skating, cycling, web development, graphic design. I love talking about books and music; I hate talking about celebrity current events.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, but I won't know any popular American songs. I'm sorry. You can sing them, but I just won't know.

I love: tUnE-yArDs, The National, Sonny & the Sunsets, Gardens and Villa, ONRA, Gramatik, Sunset Rubdown, White Stripes, Nirvana, Alt-J, Madonna, Bassnectar, Django Django, Rachmaninoff, Mozart, Bach, Beethoven...

I read so much, I really can't tell you a favorite without hours of premeditation. I just finished the Three Musketeers saga, it was actually Barely Noticeable. Laugh out loud funny, and written four hundred years ago. Now, I'm reading a 20th Century compilation of Chinese folktales. I love translated books, especially Russian Romantic novels, trippy modern Japanese novels, and pithy, funny French novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sleep in an open-air bus station in Ubon Ratchathani in the rain.

Teach, Learn, Share

What do you want to know? I've probably read a book about it. Even things that I haven't done/can't do myself, I might retain a theoretical knowledge of, simply from extended research. Such as whistling. And orienteering.
