ABOUT ME

I'm a friendly, easygoing, and organized Sociology PhD Candidate at the University of Arizona. I live with my boyfriend Dave and our australian shepherd and two maine coon cats in Tucson.

During my junior year abroad I stayed with 3 different families in South Africa, a family in Poland, and a family in Germany, plus stayed in at least 15 different hostels with lots of different roommates. I'm used to adapting to other people's schedules and boundaries, and am happy to join in or do my own thing as needed. I realize that hosting can be a burden, and want to be as easy and helpful as possible.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'm looking for people to stay with in South Africa as I travel around interviewing people about service delivery. I'll be in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, and Pretoria, and am interested in staying with people from anywhere from a couple nights to a couple weeks.

I should be a relatively undemanding guest - I'll be out and about conducting interviews during the day, and have plenty of work to keep me busy. But I'm not a recluse and I am up for hanging out, going out, and mini-adventures in the evenings and on the weekends.

Since I'm traveling on my own, I'm also looking for people to meet up with for a meal or drinks even if they don't have a couch for me to stay on.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While I've stayed with a lot of different people and families, and hosted lots of acquaintances, friends, and family, I'm new to couchsurfing.com.

兴趣

I love traveling, though I don't get to do it often enough. I spent my junior year in college studying abroad in South Africa and several counties in Europe, but most of my travels have been limited to the US. I like cooking, hiking, reading, knitting, sewing, and hanging out with our pets. I like walking around, finding new places to explore, and people watching.
