About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To have good times in Australialand!
ABOUT ME
Helloo! I'm pretty new to this couch surfing lark. I surfed when I first arrived in Aus and it was great, plus I love the community/social stuff.
I'm in Australia on the working holiday visa, and have landed a job in Melbourne for a government-type agency.
As a passionate Londoner (despite not being born there), I love a good city. I love talking about London and having guests when I'm there. But I'm partial to some dramatic countryside scenery too.
I live in St Kilda, which so far is my favourite place in Melbourne.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is here to be enjoyed. So long as you're not putting other people out, it's all good.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm just getting into this, it seems pretty cool so far. I've been to a couple of the meet-ups and I'll take surfers if I'm able in the future.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed, it was good.
Interests
I've just taken up the ukulele. So far, so awesome.
Back home I was getting quite into kung fu and enjoyed singing in a local choir. I'm also a fair-weather runner.
I definitely enjoy a good night out on the town and a few drinks, or a nice meal at home for that matter. I like my wine and good food, but I'm by no means a show off. I enjoy cooking for people even though it's not my greatest skill.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favourite book: Catch 22
Favourite film: (I'll be gobsmacked if you know it) The Philadelphia Story.
Favourite music: too much to list...Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Foo Fighters, Fall Out Boy...
TV: True Blood (guilty pleasure, sshhh, don't tell anyone)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Machu Picchu was literally stunning - I had to sit down for an hour to take it in. Climbing Huayna Picchu was tough but totally mind-blowing.
I also hiked up the almost vertical hill that the big Jesus in Rio is on (Cristo Redentor), with a local. That was one of the hardest things I've done. Good though.
Teach, Learn, Share
I do all words and stuff for a living, so I'm more than happy to help you out with any projects you have on the go that require an editor or proof-reader. I've done a lot of my mates' CVs for example.
