Helloo, I'm Kate!
I'm an American student from Tacoma, Washington which I like to pretend is Seattle when asked by people abroad. Being from the Pacific Northwest, I am super accustomed to inclement weather and I am very proud of my no-umbrella policy! I'm an open-minded, laid back person who enjoys meeting new people and learning about other parts of the world.

I'm currently living in Paris as an Au Pair and I'm completely in love and addicted to fancy cheese. I'll be leaving soon to go backpacking around Europe and I can't wait!

I love to write, especially in beautiful places around the world! I write anything from poems to short stories to journal entries but I just do it for fun and to document all the crazy wonderful things that happen!

Reading is my other pastime and I'm absolutely obsessed so if you ask me about books or authors, expect a very long conversation full of me ranting about how wonderful Kurt Vonnegut is.

I love music an inordinate amount, especially live music. I'm always listening to something and it's another topic I could talk about for hours and hours. I am a huge classic rock fan, but I also love alternative, folk, and newer rock. Honestly I love anything with good lyrics, I'm a word person. :) I love vinyl and I am currently severely missing my record player back home.

I may be a bit of a coffee addict, but I am perfectly ok with that. I'm always up for a cup of coffee and a nice conversation! I also find people that drink tea incredibly charming, so tea is lovely as well.
