To step out of my comfort zone and meet some new souls while travelling

ABOUT ME

- I've found myself recently morphed into a full time office person and I'm needing to get some jazz back into this life - so like a lot of peeps in this situation I'm hitting the road for trip Berlin for a week then flying to Portugal and will make my way by van back to Berlin

PHILOSOPHY

I am not too sure what life is all about, however, it is an interesting conundrum to work on, trying to figure out what life means.

Although I am not too sure and am hesitant about attaching fixed meanings to life through religion or using single philosophies, I think its important to contemplate how we can live better and to constantly review and be critical of why we do things, so that we do not go through life walking into the same walls constantly, or worse acting without thinking and harming others.

For me so far I have chosen to try and connect with new people, show empathy towards others and generally try and appreciate what I have.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had many couchsurfers stay at my house over the last three years, which my housemate, Itir has always kindly organised - this is why I am only just creating my profile.

During this time I have met many beautiful people, who have travelled everywhere from Berlin to Chile and many countries in between to be with us. What I have gained from having these people is immeasurable.

Those souls who have stayed with us have shared their food, wine, thoughts, laughs and hugs, which has made my household such an alive and interesting place to live in.

So thank-you guys x

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted, though I am yet to surf couches myself.

In my free time I enjoy the company of dear friends. More often than not, this means long kitchen wine chats/dancing with my housemates. We like to assist each other's lives by discussing and sifting through the days events, whilst simultaneously, in the one sitting finding solutions for world peace.

Other than this, I like most human things, such as bike riding, cooking, reading books and planning holidays. I have spent an unhealthy amount of time daydreaming and looking up tickets on Skyscanner, whilst at work this year. And, now finally - I am actually about to travel!
