Overview
About Me
Running to anywhere is better than standing somewhere. I study Biology, Philosophy and Geology, and experience is the most valuable thing in my life. I work in sustainable development and peace building and live on a plant-based diet.
If I can be climbing a rock or jumping into a river, you won't find me in front of a screen (actually, that's probably the last place you'll find me). People think I'm young until they talk to me, and yes, I have been called a tree-hugger (which I take as a compliment).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I travel, I stay with locals, not hotels (because boo NL-capitalism). It allows me to experience authentic culture when I can witness life there, first-hand, with its people.
Interests
I enjoy to travel, climb, philosophize, write, read, hike, camp, canyoneer, sing, dance, play piano & ukulele, run, eat, ski, learn languages, and most other enjoyable things.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not exceedingly particular with music because I can find songs in every genre that I enjoy, but Radiohead is the baseline. I love "Into the Wild", local Indie films, comedy, and horror movies. I also love science fiction like Lord of The Rings, Hyperion, and essentially any good read from scifi to modern literature.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Volunteered at an NGO in West Africa for 6 months (and intend to go back)
Convinced my conservative university of 38,000 students to sign the Carbon Neutrality Resolution
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to share what I know, and learn what I don't from others. There's nothing that I'd rather do than share knowledge and experience on an adventure.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a versatile thinker and an optimistic vagabond. I'm willing to help out with whatever I can from work to play, and I love sharing theories and experiences. I'm happy, energetic, and eager to learn and share as much of life as life will let me.
