About Me

Left SF in July 2016 to "travel the world for one year" and got hooked on the travel bug. Decided I should probably get a job so I can keep going and currently do remote freelance development.

I an easy going, go with the flow gal. I'm generous and enjoying helping out people when I can. Love meeting people wildly different from me and learning about their motivation behind life and reasoning for their perspectives. I enjoy adventures both planned and unplanned and was known as the DFW(down for whatever) friend.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love visiting friends when they live in new cities. There's nothing better than getting that local perspective on a place. I don't have friends in all the cities I want to visit in the world (yet) so I'm here to meet new people and enjoy local vibes.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - rock reggae (Dirty Heads, Iration, Ballyhoo, Rebelution, Pepper, Slightly Stoopid), classic rock (Pink Floyd, Neil Young, Beatles)

Movies - Movies based on true stories, documentaries, anything where I'm learning something

Books - The things they carried, books about hardship

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Singlehanded drove from East Coast (New Jersey) to the West Coast (California) of the States in a week. Had my kid sister with me, but she was too young to drive. Stopped at such places as the Grand Canyon, Vegas and the Worlds Largest Ketchup Bottle! Got to drive down the classic Route 66 and see abandoned ghost towns. Had a monsoon drop quarter size hail on us at the Grand Canyon. It was an experience I'll never forget, but not sure I'd do again without another driver.
