Hey fellow travelers, I'm Kate. Probably like you, among many things, I am a world traveler with a nomadic spirit. I recently heard of the term 'planet transporter' (one who is called to travel the planet and exchange information simply by being and flowing). Does that resonate with you? It really resonated with me because since I was a child, I felt an urge to see and taste the rainbow of cultures of the globe. I've been solo traveling since I was 18. I turned 20 when living in France. I turned 21 living in Germany. I spent the following decade exploring ancient, magical, and culturally rich parts of Europe and Southeast Asia - over 30 countries under 30-years-old.

Throughout my travels, I realize I often feel at home on the planet. If I don't, or I begin to feel redirected, I try to flow with it. I often feel drawn to specific places and when I surrender to the magnetism, without fail, I spontaneously meet wonderful people, animals, and Mother Nature - opening and expanding me through our shares. I love meeting souls who feel familiar and souls who feel foreign yet curious. It’s a treat to witness the magical unfolding like an instant deep, profound, synchronistic (often fleeting) connection... like an offering and receiving of life blueprint puzzle pieces.

In 2023, I car camped across the stunning and diverse United States for 4 months. This was the first time I ever car camped AND Couchsurfed and fell in love with both!!! During that trip, the Land of Enchantment, New Mexico, called me home for a little while for a radically transformative year that initiated self-deconstruction and restoration beyond imagination - teaching and reminding me of my true self. While living in the Southwest in 2024, I continued to car camp in New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, California, and Oregon.

Since late October 2024, I've been feeling called to explore MEXICO. I’m grateful and privileged to answer that call and embark on a trip with a one-way ticket. I'm anticipating such beauty and bounty. My heart is already swelling with joy imagining and feeling all I'll experience. My prayer ~ may my sincere gratitude, genuine presence, open heart and curious mind multiple all I receive - and unconditionally offering love and goodness to others.

I recently retired from the corporate world as a technical proposal writer and am writing two books - one common theme is this scenario - how travel and encounters guide me on my path and I also see the impact I have on others. 🩷

I love intellectual and philosophical conversations. I love when I can be goofy and playful with others. I crave being in and connecting with Mother Earth - especially trees (like the Redwoods) and the Southwest desert and red rocks. I spend quite a bit of time alone and adore trail running, any type of water I can get in - lakes and natural hot springs are my favorite. I enjoy meditation, yoga, and ecstatic dance. I love the performing arts and being around creatives who inspire and invite authenticity. I also enjoy podcasts, writing, and learning about and discussing consciousness/mysticism/esoterica/ancient practices/psychedelics/neuroscience/Jungian psychology, etc.

I think my summary above can explain most of this! I love to travel and meet people. I love genuine connection and exploring with others.

I find hotels cold. I find Airbnbs better but can be hit or miss. I love the homey comfort of being with others in their home - thank you for opening your home (bonus if you have dogs!!)! I am happy to offer food and my company. We can cook or explore together (or both)!

Music - lately lots of modern classical - really enjoying Bryce Dessner, Ludovico Einaudi, and Francesa Guccione. My favorite genre is like folk/indie rock (Mt Joy and Lumineers). I also enjoy Celine Dion, Josh Groban. I love funk, Latin, classic rock, jazz, blues.

Movies - not a big film watcher over the last few years but I enjoy a good drama, comedy, or romance. Home Alone is my favorite. I like documentaries and interviews from Gaia Consciousness.

Books - I read a lot of books - just not all from start to finish. I believe that's OK - what I'm meant to read, I will read and at the perfect time. My favorite reads change like the seasons. In the last year, my books have been mostly in the psychedelic and consciousness space. My current reads are Plant Spirit Medicine and the Gene Keys.
