About Me
Hi, I'm Kat! After a multi-year traveling hiatus because of Covid, I’m returning to long term travel. I am looking for friends and hosts to help me find what I love in new places: wonderful places to hike, old used bookstores, and quirky forgotten sights in the city. I have 5 years of organic vegetable & herb farming experience as well as homesteading with animals like goats, cows, and chickens, and would love to find places to live & work that fit with this background.
An excellent cup of chai tea, stars, and oldies music go a long way in making me feel comfortable - if you share this aesthetic let’s get together!
I’m queer and appreciate speaking openly about gender & sexuality.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
First to meet new and interesting people! Part of the reason I'm traveling is to meet and talk with people who challenge my understanding of the world, and who share my interests of nature, books, and vintage things.
I appreciate staying in a place beyond an impersonal hotel room. I love going on spontaneous adventures with others but am also happy to venture out on my own. I particularly love exploring nature and the outdoors so would really appreciate if there's hiking/biking/climbing/kayaking in your area!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visited all 50 states in the US! (my favorite = Montana)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd like to learn a few words of the language of the countries I visit, so would appreciate sharing any languages you know!
I'm also hoping to improve my cooking skills, and would love to cook communally to share what we know.
I can offer my knowledge of herbal medicine, and am usually traveling with some tinctures and teas that I’d be happy to share/chat about.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm happy to cook meals together, venture out and explore new (or familiar) spots, talk about your passions, etc. Mostly I think it's best to see how we click and figure out what to do from there.
During my travels I also bought a ukulele and am slowly learning to play more songs. I would to meet and share with fellow music lovers :)
