ABOUT ME

I am a very optimistic person who is pretty darn happy about 89% of the time. I prefer to spend most of my time outside and every chance I get I sneak out of town on a weekend getaway. My life keeps me busy with school and two jobs, but I refuse to miss out on having fun. A childish sense of humor and a yearning for adventure force me to keep my life interesting by enjoying all the little things. Really, I just enjoy making myself and others have a good laugh.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that it is important to enjoy life. In my opinion, people should try to be kind and friendly to each other and to all creatures of the earth. You get what you give, so give something pleasant.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time I went to Italy and visited the Pantheon in Rome I had the most amazing experience. I was overwhelmed by the size of the massive dome and couldn't stop looking up. I was standing almost right below the oculus, the hole in the center of the dome, when the fleeting shadow of a bird flying over the oculus caught my eye. As I stared upward at this giant skylight I saw a small feather that had fallen off the bird gently floating down through the center of the column of light that was pouring in. I watched this feather in its slow descent, standing still, almost mesmerized until the time came for me to put out my hand let it fall into my palm :) I can't describe how I felt at that moment, but I will cherish that feeling forever.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would be thrilled to show you around my beautiful city. I have a few good stories, a few bad stories, and one joke :) Teaching yoga is one of my past times and I love gathering up some friends and strangers and doing yoga in a nearby park. I love hearing people's stories and (not to brag, but) I'm a very talented listener. If that sounds good to you, you'd be an honored guest on my couch!
