ABOUT ME

The most important things in my life are my family, sunshine, school, creativity, learning, smiling and lauging and beauty.

My nephews are two of the coolest, smartest, most imaginative people in my life. The way that kids view the world is so interesting, and so beautiful. I love the time I get to spend with them.

Sunshine is my lifeline. I thrive off of summer time, and soaking up some vitamin D. Any way possible. Climbing, hiking, tubing, rafting, grilling, drinking beers, bike riding...all of it. I would absolutely rather start my day, waking up outside to the sunrise and birds chirping, than my alarm clock ANY day. I've been homeless for the past couple months, and sleeping outside almost every day. BEST experience of my life!

I'm a student at Fort Lewis College. And I LOVE it. I'm studying graphic design, and I'm really excited about my major. I really feel like I've chosen a field to study that I'm passionate about, and that I can see myself being happy with for years to come. Design is everywhere and shapes everything we think and see...craaazy

I'm learning new life lessons every day. I guess it's my stage in life, but I couldn't be more excited about it. My world has been stretched and opened in so many ways, that even 5 years ago, i couldn't have even began to imagine. It's important to me to never stop learning and growing. Knowledgeable people are my favorite. Anyone I can learn something new from.

Beauty is all around me. I'm obsessed with it. I love colors and the gifts earth gives me every day. I love love love birds. I'd like to be a bird someday :)

PHILOSOPHY

my personal philosophy is that there is so much more than my tiny body, or my minute blip in life.

There is alot more to come, I dont know what it is, but I should probably do everything I can to live the best life I can. Have as much fun as I can, and create as much good energy along the way.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i want to meet people everywhere, from every different walk of life, with different life experiences than me that we can share with each other. There is always something to learn from someone else.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed when I was in Paris this summer, and it was amazing. I definitely had a different visit in Paris than anywhere else I travelled because I got to visit the small restaurants and bars that I wouldn't have otherwise known existed.

I really really love my little town of Durango, so I love to host people too and take the time to show them the good stuff. there are so many beautiful amazing places in the area, and you wouldn't know it unless you were with a local :)

Music, Movies, and Books

1984, Angels and Demons, Illusions...I'm just now starting to read alot

live music is my favorite thing in the world. I think that dancing to good music is a really spiritual experience. I find it interesting that babies dance to music before they can even walk. I love to get a little drunk and dance my ass off. I love funky beats and bluegrass. I like some electronica, but I'd rather watch musicians than some dude play with his computer.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a graphic design student so I know a lot about the Adobe suit (illustrator mainly, but some photoshop and inDesign) I like to cook and bake. I'm in a geology class this semester and I'm learning a lot about rocks, which I really enjoy.

I would love to learn how to crochet. love love love to learn. and how to cook food from around the world. I think it would be great for visitors to come and cook dinner and drink wine with me :)
