About Me

CURRENT MISSION

may we open ourselves to the world and truly show ourselves compassion

ABOUT ME

the following ideas are quoted from friends' birthday cards to me on my most recent 26th birthday.

'You are a breath of fresh air.' EW

'Our first conversation...I was struck by your candor about things you feel passionately about...I can't tell you how thankful I am for people who have...a certain zest might say. Not only is it life-affirming, but it's just damn nice to have a nonsense-free conversation during a long day...'
(Paris- friend and coworker)

-she flies with her own wings- (oregon state motto)
'This is so true of you! You are a delightful spirit and a wonderful addition
to our family.' JB

'You're silly and sparkle like a star.' (Toni- coworker and friend)

'You are wonderful in every way. I am honored to hear your stories.'
(VM- supervisor and friend)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i am so excited to now be a part of this project. what a great global community. what an example this is for the rest of the world. what a great message, to communicate with cultures, celebrate the natural landscpae of this world, and encourage mankind to see it to get a more compassionate worldview.

i am excited to settle this spring and open up my home to travelers!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

having the conversation with a person you stay with that sparks an idea, maybe the next step in my life, next place i will visit... for me that's when the world opens up! (o:

Interests

My passions are for building communities. I work at an organic farmers market to support my last year in college (anthropology, human biology). So, I spend a lot of time writing papers and cooking through the harvest. I also work at the campus womens' resource center doing health promotion programming. I love gardening, reading, practicing and teaching yoga, hiking with my dog, looking at plants, and learning about birth and herbal medicine. I value clear, compassionate communication and time with family and close friends.
