Overview
About Me
I recently graduated from San Francisco State University and I'm celebrating my graduation with a year-long road trip around the United States. I've been camping, crashing with family, couchsurfing, and working on farms along the way, and I'm absolutely living the dream.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To exchange stories, to learn from people who are on different paths, to get a real slice of life from the places I visit, and to be inspired.
I hosted a couple of amazing couchsurfers when I lived in San Francisco, and so far I've been lucky to surf several times on this trip. I love getting the opportunity to see a place from a local's perspective.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've devoted the last month to finishing the Game of Thrones series, and am finally on the last one. I'm also reading "My Life on the Road" by Gloria Steinem and "Pillow Book" by Suzanne Buffam
My radio's always turned to the local country station, I collect vinyl (mostly 60s & 70s rock), and this month I've been hooked on Kaleo
I'm embarrassingly bad at watching television, unless I can really be working on a textile project (I'm making a rag rug right now) while semi-pretending to follow the show
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
How about top three?
1. Spent an afternoon walking amidst a herd of wild horses in North Dakota
2. Lived with an incredible community at a Hare Krishna temple, celebrating culture, diversity, and llamas
3. Pitched my tent at a completely off-grid commune in the Midwest and spent two weeks farming barefoot, canning over fires, and dancing in the rain
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm passably knowledgeable in photography, drawing, yoga, self-sufficiency, gardening, cooking, and making extravagant lists
I aspire to be a lifelong learner - right now I'm learning how to play the ukulele. If you're passionate about something, I'd love to hear about it!
