About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to figure out where I'll be in the fall, geographically, etc.
ABOUT ME
I've been living in New York City for the past nine months...Sunnyside, Queens to be exact. It's been a journey for sure. I've learned to appreciate New York a lot more than I did in September when I first got here and was heart sick for New Mexico and the boyfriend that had just dumped me. CouchSurfing was one of the ways that I was able to meet people in the city and not feel so isolated here. Now that my apartment sublet is coming to an end I'm going to be traveling to France to visit a friend and do a little couch surfing, and then heading back to New Mexico to spend my third summer working at the Santa Fe Opera. Should be good.
PHILOSOPHY
Live what you Love
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have met up with a number of different people through the site for coffee. Some have been travelers, others were people that lived near by. I'm hoping to surf a little on my way to New Mexico, and eventually have my own place to host people in.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The one thing that seems to be the same with everyone I've met through couch surfing is their laid back attitude and love of life and traveling. I havn't had any bad experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
There is so much out there! I often feel overwhelmed by all the things that I want to read and listen to. Right now I'm in the middle of Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami. It's slow and sad and beautiful, it feels Japanese, to this girl who has never been to Japan or met a Japanese person...
The last movie I saw though was Lost in Translation
I love ALL kinds of music, but right now my ear is into The Devil Makes Three and Deer Tick...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Learned to appreciate the color of the light polluted smoggy NY night sky
