About Me

Hello, couchsurfers! For the next month and a half( until the end of june) I will not be available to host anybody and maybe I will not answer many of you, accept my apologies.

Hello! I am a dreamer, an optimist and a joyful person. I like to spend time in the nature, with friends around the camp fire and the gentle guitar music.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To get to know people from all over the world. I am very interested in learning new languages and traditions.

Interests

I love learning new languages it is more lika a game to me. I learn mostly by myself, with books and applications such as duolingo. I read bilingual books and learn new words and I try to use them as much as I can so that I can remember them better. I've been learning italian for two and a half years and I am learning turkish for almost a year now.
I used to work at a bookstore and I am very keen on books. This job gave me the oppurtunity to get to know new authors and genres.
In my free time I like knitting and sewing and making handmade stuff such as scarfs, toys, jewelry and things like that.
I love nature, being outside but also bringing the nature to my home. I love my plants and I find it facinating watching them grow every day. In the summer I take them on the balcony and when I drink my coffee sitting on the bench I feel like I am in a garden. It is wonderful.
I love cats! I had a cat when I lived with my parents and I still see her often. Now I don't have pets but I still adore the fluffy purring creatures.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite authors: E.E.Schmidt, Arthur Hailey, Gianni Rodari,
Harlan Coben, Jerome K. Jerome, Terry Pratchett, Ray Bradbury, Oscar Wilde, Ilya Ilf and Evgeni Petrov and some bulgarian poets.
I listen to almost all kinds of music and it is really hard to tell my favorites, but I prefer swing, ska and rock music.
Again for the movies it is hard to say, I like animations, fantasy and drama, I am not very keen on action moves although there are some that I really liked.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I used to be a teacher for a year and a half. I taught English to kids aged 7-11. It was wonderful, but also really hard.
I climbed Musala (the highest peak in Bulgaria and also the highest of Balkan Peninsula, standing at 2,925 m) two times and the last time I climbed it without using the tourist path. It was scary, but very beautiful.
I was on volunteer camp in Czech Republic a souple of years ago in a small town called Úštěk. I met so wonderful people there and had so much fun. We had to paint fences and cut grass. I enjoyed this type of work and especialy when i shared it with so nice people. I still keep in touch with some of them.
Last summer I and my fiancee spent a whole week on the beach of Irakli. We slept on the sand and woke up with the sunrise. We cooked on the fire and had to walk for an hour and a half for the nearest shop :) It was great.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am open to share my knowledge in every aspect as long as someone is open to learn. I can teach basic bulgarian, share our cultural traditions and our traditional stories. I can cook dishes typical for Bulgaria.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories, dishes and smiles. I believe that when I go to someone's place it is good to bring some interesting objects from my country, so you can be sure that you will have more than souvenirs.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey
