Hello everyone :)
I am Katya and two years ago i moved from Moscow to the east coast of France, to La Rochelle. Since then i am trying to build my life here, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't haha.

Before i was backpacking a lot, but last years i slowed down a bit since i started my masters degree and official full time jobs. So now i just do short hitchhiking/train trips somewhere around France whenever i can - to the seaside to surf, or to mountains to hike.

I love infinitely all the types of outside activities - slack, surf, climbing, hiking. Travelling too, but over last years i've changed a bit from fast travel "see as much as possible" to the slow one- you move less, but you go deeper and still continue exploring.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe the best that you can discover while travelling are mountains and wonderful people
Now I really cannot imagine me traveling without couschsurfing
Even not in terms of being hosted somewhere, but even just about discovering local life

From so many places I don't remember precisely the cities, streets, architecture, but i remember the people I met there and with whom i was there

So far in love with dub, some instrumental music, latin rock and brasilian reggae

From reading i love a lot French literature - Sartre snd Camu, otherwise everything from Erich Maria Remarque, Jack London , Somerset Maugham, Joseph Kessel, Sylvain Tesson aaand so on

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On est allé camper en Bretagne en janvier! (et on a bien survecu et kiffe!!)

Almost went to the Elbruuus (5640) but died a little bit and stopped at 5100
ok there is another one

Was hiking around a month in Pyrenees from the north coast until almost Andorra

What I Can Share with Hosts

Anything you want - french cuisine, russian "na zdorovie", ukranian danses, and sooongs on the guitar!
