About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Can't wait to meet the world and share each trip with the locals; i'm often interested both in their daily habits and in their studies/ backgrounds

ABOUT ME

>>> PLEASE, READ A BIT OF MY PROFILE BEFORE YOU CONTACT ME. :)

It is always pleasure to host or to be a guest at one's place.
Thankfully, I learnt to do this with all of my heart since I was little. See, I come from a well- bonded mediterranean family. And family to us is a little like a huge army, not just mum and dad and brother :p So if I have one mission on this earth it is about being good both at hosting and at being the guest!

Easy-going, glad to meet new people and their way of life in general! I have quite many friends outside my hometown and country, so I'm used to be positive meeting and even bonding with new interesting and welcoming faces and minds.

Thirsty for cultures and history and music and adventure!

PHILOSOPHY

'You go to dude X's place to stay but he/she is not able to spend his time with you, but to give you their couch.

OR, you had been looking for a couch to sleep somewhere for that night but all lady Z could do was to take a couple of hours to go out with you. '

FINE. SAY, THANK YOU then and FEEL grateful indeed.
Come up with a gift no matter what they are about to offer you back, afterwards.

Because it is not about saying the word 't h a n k s', or about giving them for free the cake you made for them. It' s about the your move to show them your gratefulness.

Be kind. What if you were them..?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My experience on CS has been unexpectedly great so far:

I have hosted/ surfed or just spent free time with people from more than twenty (20) different places around the globe and It has been a precious experience. Learnt a lot through that.

I know this is awkward... But.. They have been all amazing and special! Maybe it was also my huge luck but it is also because I might have found the right way to sniff/smear on the interesting kinds of people out of their profiles and representations online.

Anyway I think CS is a wonderful way to meet foreign people; u start with hearing a bunch of real personal stories and one morning you wake up and realise you have become a richer person because of travelling throughout those people's cultures. It seems CS is a good excuse when travelling abroad but i have figured it can be the other way round, as well. I mean, travelling can be the excuse and couchsurfing can be the purpose!

Interests

Photography, travelling, concerts, cooking, arts and crafts of most kinds; included good films.

Anthropology, politics and humanities in general are my favorite subject to talk about, with a hot cup of coffee on the one hand and a sceptical girl/guy opposite me. I love arts and humanities just because they talk about attitudes and cultures, diversity.

As for the small talk, I can do this as well :P

Oh and this weird thing about me- It' s common for me to mess up my sleeping, like not to sleep for the entire night and do something else instead( I always put up for the sleep I lost, somehow). In other words, I love being an occasional owl!!!!
