Thanks to couchsurfing, one can get acquainted with traditions of different nationalities and different countries, rather than dry communication, like in hotels. Also, my husband and I prefer a budget vacation and plan their own routes in non-standard places and it is from the locals that you can find non-standard places worth visiting.
