About Me

CURRENT MISSION

publish a book by the age of 40

ABOUT ME

Few months ago I quit my job and went travelling around Central and South America.

I am very easy going person who can keep up a debate or conversation on any topic ever imagined.
I love learning random phrases in random languages, so when I meet a person representing particular culture I can share my basic knowledge of their language. I find it amusing how happy people can seem, anytime I do it.

Describing myself is always the hardest part of any applications, as I feel completely retarded when attempting to keep the balance between overflattering myself or scaring readers with honesty =) that's why I just gonna skip it.

PHILOSOPHY

I am categorically and fully against judgments and stereotyping. Obviously, no body can avoid generalizing different cultures fully, yet, I truly hate when people are blindly fallowing and believing in something based on pure prejudices and empty ideas.
My personal philosophy... hard to say, perhaps it is the trust to consciousness.
Im quite agreeing with rather romantic views of Existentialists on the fact that only past experiences are driving people to make new mistakes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing saved my life a few times. I will never forget all the amazing people I was lucky to meet on my way.

After so many great experiences. CS to me is not about saving money. But about living a life of a local person.

I wish I could offer my couch to more travellers though

Interests

I love travelling without comfort, live music, any sort of life music but my most favourite are small gathering of musicians in the local pubs, festivals, literature especially futurists in early 20th century, sunny weather, Q magazine, good journalism, DIY culture,I can, really go on forever.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've climbed the Moses Mountain in Egypt. I might be a bit overexadurating but I believe, that experience totally changed my life.

allnighters (by allnighters I mean the experience of walking sober around cities with a friend or group of friends from sunset till sunrise) in cities such as: London, Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Cambridge, Kiev, Dnipropetrovsk, Odessa, Skadovsk and others I can not even remember anymore... there is nothing extraordinary but only this way I believe there is a chance to see a real rhythms of the city and feel it atmosphere fully.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can play piano and sing, perhaps this is something I can teach others.. well... I can also share my deep knowledge of post soviet countries and USSR in general, I am always happy to tell stories of war times that I've heard from my grad parents, I am happy to teach Russian, Ukrainian or English... although I am not sure if im good at it.
I have some knowledge of art, rather practical knowledge of contemporary and theoretical in other kinds.
