i'm an art history junior at bard college in new york, but am currently studying abroad in madrid this semester at universidad carlos III, and i fully intend on making the most of my time in europe (hopefully you'll be able to help out!) i'm really easy-going, adventurous, and not a picky eater in the least. plus, i don't snore!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i unfortunately don't have a couch to offer right now, since i'm away from home, but it's a possibility for the future, after i graduate college. i just hope to meet some nice new people (and couches) and establish connections through couch surfing.

Interests

art and going to museums, music (i book shows at my school and i love going to concerts/clubs), kitschy things - especially absurd lacquered wall plaques, anything abe lincoln and elvis presley, cooking big meals, being spontaneous, getting lost in antique shops, meeting new people and exploring new places

movies: wet hot american summer, kieslowski's three colors trilogy, the royal tenenbaums, rushmore, hable con ella, y tu mamá también, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, the virgin suicides, american beauty

music: i like just about everything, honestly. my top faves are sunset rubdown, liars, beirut, tracy + the plastics, girl talk, and electrelane. i've also recently gotten into young marble giants and crystal castles, and i always am into dance music. p.s. ridiculous 80s and 90s music? got it covered.

books: vonnegut, foer, orwell, dostoevsky, hemingway

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

just being here in europe for the first time (late bloomer over here) is definitely at the top of my list. i'll keep you posted.

i make a mean meatloaf! mashed potatoes on the side, of course. i also have learned how to cook some fantastic traditional spanish dishes, and would be more than willing to whip something up.

we could do music exchanges too, i'm a big fan of mix CD swapping.
