Overview
About Me
I am an energetic nature-lover who loves to throw a good dinner party. I like finding reasons to celebrate, people watching, and puns and wordplay. I'm very interested in global public health and would like to make a career out of it. When I'm not volunteering or preparing for grad school, I love to be active outdoors or trying new foods. Let's have an adventure!
I am not currently in a living situation where I can host but I am always willing to meet up for coffee, a drink, or a meal. Just contact me!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Bonding with strangers over experiences and meals is, without a doubt, my favorite thing to do. I love learning from others, comparing perspectives, and successfully communicating despite language barriers. I've met incredible people through Couchsurfing who began as strangers but are now people I communicate with regularly and I have the pleasure to call friends. That, to me, is happiness. That is why I'm on Couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: "East of Eden" by John Steinbeck, "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" by Jonathan Safran Foer, "How We Are Hungry" and "The Circle" by Dave Eggers, "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley, and "Freedom" by Jonathan Franzen are my favorites. I enjoy a lot of non-fiction books too.
Movies: Documentaries and anything that makes me think twice or question what I thought was true. According to Netflix my top-watched category is "Cerebral Thrillers". Of course I like comedies, too.
Music: Let's groove!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I assisted in an autopsy where I removed a brain from a human skull and dissected it. I've held the pituitary gland in my hand. It was an unreal experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach/Share: I could possibly give lessons in cake baking. I don't really like making cakes unless it's for a gift, but I'm really good at it.
Learn: I want to learn as many languages as possible, so teach me what you know! Also, I'm currently growing my first batch of tomatoes and it's not working out so well. Any gardening advice?
