ABOUT ME

I am a politically progressive and queer, working for my father's small business in Cincinnati, Ohio. I live with my partner, two cats and a dog in an awesome neighborhood called Northside. I'm involved in a number of different issues, including worker justice, environmental justice and food access.

My dad's shop is a Mediterranean specialty food store in Cincinnati's historic Findlay Market. This little shop is one of the great loves of my life, after of course, my partner Karen (soon to be wife!). I left a big east coast city and an advancing career in non-profits to learn this business and be closer to my family in Cincnnati. I've discovered that Cincinnati is a pretty neat place, and that this is what I was meant to be doing all along.

Currently obsessed with the HBO show Girls. Just met Lupe Fiasco after stalking him after a concert. I like sappy lesbian music like Tegan and Sara, Brandi Carlisle, the Indigo Girls. I like conscious hip hop, trashy pop, and other guilty pleasures.

Currently reading: The Warmth of Other Suns.
