ABOUT ME

I'm a queer, veggo (wannabe vegan) lady. I'm straight-edge (No drinkie or druggie for me). I love this planet and do my best to live a low-impact lifestyle (when I'm not on an international flight).

I'd like to consider myself a quiet little yogi but I'm well aware that I have a sometimes unfortunately wicked sense of humor and a hyperactive mind.

My last expedition saw me felled by love and I now live with my partner in Sydney, far from the cold dales of my hometown in Yorkshire.

Well, Ive never had the chance to host somebody before but iv been a guest a few times and I take any opportunity to tell the people i meet how wonderful the experience has been..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Constantly amazed! I surfed my way through Europe last winter and met people and saw places I'd never have imagined. It was SERIOUSLY my hosts that made that journey memorable! I was so green and new to independent travel, I learned so much and gathered so much strength from the warmth of those people i found myself forever changed.

I love trekking, rock-climbing, reading, writing, making clothes, shiny and colorful things, the production of vegan, sugar-free baked goods, live music, vaudeville, burlesque, dancing, festivals, philosophizing, hula hooping, unsuccessful juggling. Oh and I rather like to travel....

I love to read... things anything by Hunter S Thompson, George Orwel or Aldous Huxley, Murakami, Ian Banks, Erving Wesh (as much as sometimes, I'd rather not), Margaret Atwood, Angela Carter, Jeanette Winterson... Fiction and philosophy are my main passions... Lend me a book and I shall love you forever!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

One amazing thing? I scaled a high crag with no ropes once.. I still don't entirely believe it... and i sang in front of somebody for the very first time a few months ago... now THAT was scary!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I can crochet, Rock-climb, cook a little, use a compass and know a little British sign language... I'm always eager to learn more.... about anything and everything but mostly about people and the way this world of ours works.
