Overview
About Me
Born and raised in Hamburg, I somehow ended up in Cologne. I am a conference interpreter which appears to correlate with the fact that I am interested in most areas of life - you never know when you might need a certain piece of information for the next conference. Also, I love to learn! From books, from travelling and, most importantly, from people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's much nicer to be a guest or a host in the true sense of the word than to be a "B&B guest" or a short-term "land lord". The latter errects walls between people - the former takes them down.
I used to have a profile some years ago (forgot my login - ooops). Back then, I hosted people from abroad or met up with people for coffee during periods of studying abroad. It was a great experience and I figured one which you are never too old for.

Music, Movies, and Books
This is no simple question as my taste in music, books and series changes over time. Let's see what I happen to like best at the time we meet.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I really don't think I have done the one amazing thing yet. Maybe I have yet to do it. Maybe it is not the one amazing thing after all, but the myriads of small joys in life worth remembering.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to share my passion of language, books, travelling and foooood.
What I Can Share with Hosts
an idea, a story, a cup of tea or a meal. If this is not your cup of tea, how about a language tandem?
