About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to remind myself that I don't have to do what everyone else is doing
ABOUT ME
I'm still on the way to discover my real self and to explore who I am and how I want to live my life.
But I try my best to tell you a few things about me which might be helpful to know:
When I meet new people I may be a little bit shy and reserved in the first moment but once I got to know them better and, even more important, can trust them I open up.
I like being in silence and sharing the beauty of the moment without words as well as talking, laughing and having fun together. I don't like what is called "party" as a prefer to spend time with friends in a more personal way.
Sometimes I tend to think too much, about the past and the future, and to worry about things which are actually not in my hands...but I really want to learn to trust and have more confidence that everything in our life happens at the right time, for the best reason and with the right person.
And at last still a few "hard" facts about me:
I don't drink and smoke.
I'm a vegetarian (but can really bear it if someone next to me eats meat) - I like fruits and vegetables very much and could eat them all day long.
PHILOSOPHY
As I really like quotes very much I just let them speak for me:
"It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."
(The little prince)
"You cannot protect yourself from sadness without protecting yourself from happiness."
(from the book "Extremly loud and incredibly close")
"Nicht müde werden, sondern dem Wunder leise wie einem Vogel die Hand hinhalten."
(Hilde Domin)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately I can't offer you a couch at the moment as I'm going to travel through NZ and India for the next three months.
It would be great to find a Couch in NZ and meet nice people on the way.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Very good experience! I truly enjoyed the warmth and friendliness of my lovely hosts in India! made really good friends through CS! The whole community is so helpful and makes you feel welcome when you need it most.
Interests
I love being together and spending time with close friends and my family, having good and deep conversations, sharing wonderful and unforgetable moments and just enjoying the presence of the other person.
I love reading all kind of books, I can spend hours in bookstores and one of the first places I visit at a new place is the local library.
I love being outside in the nature, I love the forests, the mountains and the sea as well and my day is not a good day if I wasn't outside and took a deep breath of fresh air. I like hiking and walking, cycling and inline skating, but I can also just lay down in the meadow enjoying the sun and observing the clouds.
I like crafting, sewing and creating small gifts with my own hands. If I have enough time and space I like doing jigsaws.
And last but not least: I love travelling and exploring new places, getting to know new people, their way of life, their culture and their thoughts

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you German.
Since I've been to India I desperately want to learn Hindi but till now I have only managed to write and read the letters (which was difficult enough :-)).
And what is most important to me: I want to learn from other people, I want to get to know different ways of living and thinking and I want to share experiences about life and its sometimes challenging moments.
