ABOUT ME
I grew up in Germany and after longer stops in Kyoto, Ankara and Beijing have made Sydney my home.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't want to be someone that doesn't know their own home (town, country, whatever). Having said that, I visited Seoul and Tokyo before I visited Berlin, crazy!

I don't want to postpone my life to later - not to the weekends, not to the holidays, not to summer or old age retirement. I want to live and enjoy every single day.

Also, I think the most solid and valuable old-age insurance is keeping your body and mind healthy and collecting numerous experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Long before there was Couchsurfing (or at least long before I knew it) I went on a two-week-trip to Japan in 2004 and stayed on the couches and beds of very very lovely hosts that I had only met online shortly before. It was a trip I will never forget and the hospitality and openness encouraged me a lot to continue learning the language and to stay motivated. I also hosted many people I met on the same site over the years. When I was travelling through Australia I was always keeping in touch with the couch surfing community because its an awesome bunch of ppl to hang out with :D I met some of the loveliest friends in Beijing through CS as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have a lot of "formal Couch Surfing" experience. I travelled and stayed on many couches and I was lucky enough to host some really awesome people on my couch as well.

Interests

Nature, photography, discovering new places to go, trying all kinds of outdoor experiences (I feel a lot safer now since I have a phone with GPS, my sense of orientation isn't the best...), reading, learning something new every day, delicious food, travelling - both to closeby destinations and afar, ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing my godchild grow up and develop her personality is one of my greatest delights.

Running my first half marathon - weekly practice for some, small miracle for me :)
