ABOUT ME

I'm an easy-going person who likes to meet new people, try new things and learn about the world. I love to do slightly weird but fun stuff like having a christmas party in April or pretending that life is a musical and sing and dance everything - but no worries, I don't do that all the time :) Actually, when you first meet me I can seem quite shy, but I open up quickly. I think one of the worst things you can say about a person is that they are boring.

At the moment I'm not able to offer a couch since I live in a student home, so I'm just a surfer right now.

I stayed with some very nice couchsurfer hosts in the USA and it's always been a great experience

Interests

I spend most of my time during the year studying English and Music, which I both love. My main interests are anything to do with music (singing, dancing, playing the clarinet, piano and guitar, listening to music, going to concerts, etc), going out, hanging out with my friends, etc. The best memories I have are usually of stuff that I have done spontaneously, so I try to be as spontaneous as I can and take part in as many fun activities that I can :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Into the wild, 27 dresses, Tim Burton movies
Books: Any Dan Brown, John Grisham, Janet Evanovich books, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Water for Elephants, Harry Potter
Music: can't really decide, but a few of my favourite bands and musicians are: Queen, Jason Mraz, Brian Kennedy, Maybebop, Walk off the Earth, Tim Minchin, Tower of Power, Mardi Gras BB. Also, I love Musicals - favourite at the moment: Tarzan

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to New Orleans for a semester abroad and have fallen in love with that city immediately. You can be as crazy as you like and you'll fit right in :)

Climbed the stairway to heaven in Hawaii - do it if you're there, it's amazing!!

Also, went to a Queen concert and saw (and heard) a huge concert hall full of people singing "love of my life" for Freddy. That convinced me that music can change the world :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Hm, I could teach you to play a few songs on the piano, say a few things in my dialect (or in German, if you prefer, but my dialect is much cooler :P), cook Kaesknoepfle - a traditional Austrian dish and my favourite food in the world!, tell you about Austrian culture or my personal theories about the world. I'd love to learn whatever you have to teach :)
