Hi my name is Katha and I am a 25 years old Psychology student who lives in Innsbruck, Austria since 5 years (The jewel of the Alps ;)). Currently I live in a shared apartement with two roommates till June. We can enjoy the pleasures of having a huge and sunny balcony with an amazing view. In general I am an open minded person who loves to meet new people. If I do not have to study or work I spent my leisure time with snowboarding, trekking, yoga, reading and hanging out with friends. Furthermore I love to spent some time in the kitchen to cook delicious vegetarian dishes. Travelling to other countries and experiencing foreign cultures is a huge part of my live as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Having the great honour to stay in an unfamiliar place with locals enables you to see it in a different way. You migth have The chance to explore places you would not have found on your own. The other way around I really like to help guests with having a great time in Innsbruck. The city has so much to offer and it is a pitty to only visit the most popular touristic attractions. Furthermore meeting new people as a host or guest is usually very entertaining. Last but not least couchsurfing is an option which helps you to travel on a small budget. Which is very useful as well since travelling and being broke student is not always easy to combine ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Lately I enjoy listening to Ok Kid, Warpaint, Bilderbuch, Mount Kimbie, Feine Sahne Fischfilet, Bloc Party, The Subways and a lot more. In general I oftenly listen to a variety of different music genres. It mostly depends on the situation and my mood. When I do not travel I enjoy using my Netflix account to watch TV shows like Adventureland, BoJack Horseman, Breaking Bad, HIMYM and so on. Since it seems to be harmeful for your eyes to watch TV all day long (at least my parents said so) I actually read books as well. Rigth now I am into Jonathan Franzen and Benedict Wells. The next big project is reading 30 classics from the Russian literature since it cost me only 1€ to download them on the e-reader. A sacrifice to my small wallet ;)
