Hey there,
my name is Kathi & I'm a 28 year old girl from Austria. I used to work as a graphic designer for an advertising agency and then switched to become a primary school teacher. At the moment I am doing my Erasmus in Porto. In my freetime I work in the live music industry.
I'd really love to get to know the world and it's diversity. That's why I also love meeting locals while travelling – there are so many stories to be told.
My favourite kind of trips are roadtrips I guess, because I like the independance and the spontaneousity that comes with it.

I love being in nature, enjoying coffee and doing something creative like shooting photos (sometimes even film photography), embroidery or drawing as well as going thrifting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's a great opportunity to share stories & thoughts with others & I am interested in alternative tourism. It's great to meet new people all around the world – and maybe stay in touch afterwards. I also appreciate to get to know and understand other cultures than mine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Already worked in various fields like as a graphic designer in an advertising agency, as a caretaker on a kid's camp with kids who have special needs, as a stage hand in the live music business (despite the fact that I am a small woman – do not underestimate me haha) or also as an assistant for tour management stuff. So I think I am easily motivated to get to know new stuff.

I can teach you to cook some simple austrian dishes, tell you something about my hometown and culture, teach you how to use photoshop or a more complex camera tell you some "biology-fun facts", ...

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm quite uncomplicated & easy-going. I don't have high demands and I could cook some tasty vegetarian or vegan meals with you
