ABOUT ME

Jonathan and I have taken a sabbatical from our professional careers for 8 months to explore a new part of the world. We have been together for 4 years and we both have the same outlook on life: its short so make the most of it! We have spent the last 5 months in Jamaica, Curacao, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina. We are now heading for Brazil for the next 2 months; starting with the Pantanal and Bonito. Our plan is to travel the whole of the coast all the way up to Fortaleza but we are totally flexible , we just want to get to know Brazil!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are totally flexible and laid back. We are open to all opportunities to get to know our hosts, home and local area. We would not expect anything that we would not offer in return and we hope that we can take pride in sharing our world in exchange.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had many similar experiences that have happened organically without Couch Surfing. Hopefully CS will help provide many more.

Interessi

We absolutely love music, trying new things, exploring the world, eating, the outdoors and most of all people!! Since travelling we have discovered our interest in hiking, diving and cooking, constantly swapping between our flip flops and our walking boots! Back home we are festival goers and keen skiiers. Out here we are YES MEN/WOMEN. We love discovering and learning about new places on foot, bike, boat, horse and not so much by bus after the thousands of miles we have clocked up!

Musica, film e libri

BOOKS: Currently we are obsessed with Stieg Larssons Millenium trilogy..(The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo).
Marching Powder was also a fun read whilst in Bolivia.

MUSIC: Born and bred in Bristol where music is the best in England (Massive Attack, Portishead)with the infamous Glastonbury festival an hour down the road, we are fond of punchy electronic and reggae music: Rudimental, Major Lazer, Sizzla just to name a couple..

FILMS: Nothing better than snuggling up to watch a movie on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Too many to list!

Katherine: Facing her underwater fears and completing the Scuba diving PADI course in Taganga Colombia.

If you want something building or fixing then Jono is your man! Kat is not quite so practical with her hands but she'll get her head around anything. Don't ask us to dance though, that is something you need to teach us, we'll just grind you to death!
