Nice to meet you! My name is Kathelijn. Friends also call me Kat and now you may too ;)

I'm a spontaneous, cheerful and ambitious Dutch girl who likes to see more of what the world has to offer.
Bored of The Netherlands and inspired by my latest exchange at a Film Academy in Denmark, I decided to spend my days more adventurous. My current dream is to explore and live life in either Sweden or Australia (not sure yet haha). I'd like to explore a city, country, and culture like a true local in order to really connect with a place, its surroundings, and its people. Lately, I have fallen in love with surfing, so I hope to create a lifestyle where I can travel and surf while immersing myself in different cultures.

What else do you might need to know?

Well, I'm a passionate all-around creative who has a huge passion for film, photography and illustrating. Friends tend to tease me with my obsession for capturing basically everything haha!

I also LOVE FOOD (I'm a Dutchie with Indonesian roots). So I'd love to learn how to cook different cultural cuisines! My biggest passion is in baking, so learning how to bake local pastry specialties would be an absolute dream :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saying yes to a random offer to get on a minivan with people I didn't know. We drove through Europe and it was the most amazing road trip ever. They're still close friends up till today.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm very passionate about baking and I've been working at a pastry boutique for several years, so I can bake some very nice cupcakes. Also, my mission is to learn different pastry/ specialty dishes from the countries I stay in, so if you want to teach me and bake together that would be a dream!

Also, I'm quite handy with a camera, so if you need new pictures of you or your house etc, I can help out with that!
