Overview
About Me
At the moment, I'm in between my B.S. and my Masters degree, and am hoping to fit in some travel in the interim.
I love meeting new people, being outside, and am passionate about all things environmental and science-y.
At home, I bike or walk almost everywhere; walking is my favorite, cycling a close second. I'm a vegetarian, but am still an adventurous eater.
Basically, I love learning new things. I try things before ruling them out as something I don't like. And I'm working on saying 'yes' more.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In general: I want to see the world, get to know people that live all around it, and help others do the same.
Right now: I'm planning a trip to Europe, including London->Paris->Freiburg, Germany->Cologne->Amsterdam (and the Hague) -> Brussels (and Bruges)
May 8th-24th. I want to hang out with locals to get a feel for each of the places I'm visiting, even though I'll only get to be in those places a couple days at a time.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can get into nearly all types of music.
Some of my favorite books include the Dharma Bums (Kerouac), The Alchemist (Coelho), 1984 (Orwell), and the Five People You Meet in Heaven (Albom).
Movies are great, except I can't handle horror.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked down and up the Grand Canyon in one day.
Also, life can be pretty amazing in general.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm pretty easy-going and tend to keep things clean and tidy. Also, I love to bake and like to cook, so I'd love to share food.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, Panama
