À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION
To annoy people in as many countries as possible

ABOUT ME
I am a Queer, Disabled writer and Disability advocate who loves crafting, singing, art and writing.
I've traveled with my family almost every summer, mostly locally but...
*Ages twelve and fourteen I went to the redwoods.
*Age fifteen was a road trip through Idaho, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado.
*Age sixteen was Japan: Tokyo, Morioka, Ryosendei, a number of small fishing towns, most of which were devastated by the tsunami, a hostel, and a cabin.
*Age seventeen was another road trip, through Idaho, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and California!
*Age eighteen was Japan again, this time from Tokyo straight to Iwate to stay with a family in Hachimantai-shi, and of course Cali again for our layover, but this time we stayed in the airport.
*Age nineteen was the redwoods once more, and then another road trip through all the same states, but this time through Nevada as well.
On our family road trips, I've seen Mesa Verde, Bryce Canyon, Arches, The Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, and many other awesome places - and I've been to California's redwood forest a total of three times.
*Age 20 I traveled again to Washington, where I've been going at least once a year all my life. We went to Whidbey Island, to Port Townsend, to Port Angeles, through the Hoh Rainforest and even to Victoria Island in Canada.
*Age 21 I took a plane trip with my mom to Seattle to meet a friend and explored the Ave.
*I've been on several trips with friends to pirate festivals in Lebanon, Oregon.
*Now I'm traveling between the valley in Oregon and western/northwestern Washington and seeing all sorts of new places!

I've been to Washington state more times than I could ever number. Grays Harbor County and Whidbey Island feel as much like home to me as my home community, and Iwate prefecture in Japan has such a place in my heart that I do call it my second home.

I'm like a zen new age agnostic goth nerd fairy ball of sunshine :D I'm pretty laid back but love adventure and get excited about everything!

PHILOSOPHY
I'm a lapsed vegetarian/flexatarian but believe in cruelty free/sustainable/local agriculture. Disability-positive, sex-positive, and believe in compassion, love and kindness with all of my heart. I believe there is a balance of good and bad, light and dark, and that every human emotion is natural, not shameful, but that it is my responsibility to check my actions when they harm others. I want to experience as much as I can in life, so I have to push myself out of my comfort zone, because the familiar makes me feel safe.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to explore the world outside my backyard (and maybe in it).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Brand new!

Centres d'intérêt

my favorite things to do in my free time are to write, craft, blog, record music, participate in advocacy and activism, doodle, read, exercise and explore. I like walking around at night going on adventures and seeing the city in a different way, and wandering places I'm not supposed to go and playing in ditches.

I like to draw. I like to sing. I don't spend as much time outside as I wish I did. I think everything and everyone is beautiful. I'm a little bit nocturnal. I have no circadian rhythm whatsoever. I enjoy learning new things about interesting topics. Deep, philosophical are my thing, but I'll talk to anyone about anything.

I like to hike and walk when I have the spoons to, and I like picnics. I like hanging out in cemeteries. I enjoy trying new foods and visiting restaurants.
I like cooking and baking with friends and experimenting in the kitchen. And I love doing stuff I've never done!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

JUST ONE?! I've chased fish and jumped off a rock into a caldera in Japan, I've seen condors flying over the Grand Canyon, I've eaten philippine pineapple bought from vendors at Ame-yoko. I've placed third in a topless wrestling competition while yelling in a loud fake pirate voice at a pirate festival. I've held a tarantula. I've held a black emperor scorpion. I've held smaller, more dangerous scorpions. I've been on midnight cemetery picnics. How can just one thing be the most amazing? Everything amazes me.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

I'm cute and nice and love to be helpful and will talk your ear off :)
