About Me

Today is June 10th, 2021 and this is what I wrote almost two years ago, when I started travelling by myself and discovered CS:

"I'm a Colombian girl traveling around the world until my few savings allow me to do so.
Nothing planned, I'm just trying to go with the flow. I'm quite bad talking about myself especially if it's written, but if we meet you will see I'm an open book.

Definitely not looking to hook up or sth like that. I may be super friendly but do not misread my kindness. We can be friends if we avoid an awkward moment :)"

Life has changed after Covid for everybody but, for me, life feels like stuck right now. I've met many people and I can tell I found some which don't like to travel and many more others that love to do so. In my case, I realized I do *need* to travel. -If I were Maslow, I'd probably established 'traveling' as a new need in the scale, between the emotional and self-actualizing needs.- So, now that life feels like this, this is the best to find the way to keep going and moving forward.

More things have changed (and I can tell you more about that if we have the chance) but some others remain: I don't have savings anymore, yet I still go with the flow and follow my gut feeling, for instance. The hook up thing hasn't changed either.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I said I was skeptical about this because it did sound too good to be true. I decieded to create my account though, to have a look and try it. And yeah... it's awsome! This community is just lovely, the people that I've met so far are just amazing. I can tell I do love CS! It has taught me so much and I can't thank enough to the people I've met for all the things the have shared with me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading very much although, sadly, my cellphone keeps distracting me of engrosing myself into a good book. In the last 12 months I've been reading some books by Dostoievsky, Coetzee, Chimamanda Ngozi and some more. My favourite writer is Haruki Murakami.

I am definitely a music lover. I'm into rock with all its varieties and contrasts but now that I'm a grown up (haha) I do appreciate any kind of music despite my liking because I have understood music is another kind of language that has its own history and its own background. There is so much I'd love to learn about this that I'd spent all the rest of my life on it if I could.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving (I'm afraid of heights) and everytime I remember the moment I jumped out of the plane I can feel the hole in my stomach again and again!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some Spanish.
Still learning English and I do really appreciate any feedback.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am clean and very organized. I can be quite shy at the beginning, I'm a good listener but afterwards I also can be very talkative haha
I can help with chores, cleaning the house... anything you need and I can do.
