I am an American teacher in Abu Dhabi, UAE. I teach children with Autism and have for four years since I graduated from Wellesley College in Massachusetts. I love to travel and try new things. I'm no party animal, though, I don't drink or smoke! I also love reading, writing, and being physically active. Volunteering is very important to me and I also love sending snail mail.

Interests

I enjoy reading, writing, running, traveling, live performances, and trying new things! I also really value volunteering and helping others. Right now I'm fostering kittens who would otherwise end up on the street with a group called Sandy Paws.

I can share what I've learned in my language studies (Arabic, ASL, and Portuguese) as well as my first language (English). I can also talk your ear off about Autism Spectrum Disorders and the teaching strategies used in Applied Behavior Analysis. I like to have conversations about current events and it's great to hear perspectives from people with a different background than mine - I bet we could have some great discussions!
