About Me

My husband and I are East Coasters living out our California dream in San Francisco! We're quite sarcastic, and can always provide a cheesy math joke (considering that we met in math class 🤓). I love to travel and learn more about others who have had such different experiences than my own. I also enjoy showing people around this lovely city, there are tons of great places to go!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love seeing new places and meeting new people. On our month long cross country a few years ago, we were fortunate to meet quite a few members of the CS community and see parts of this country for the first time. We have also had the pleasure of hosting great people in Charlottesville and SF! I look forward to continuing to be a part of this community.

Interests

I love art (particularly modern art) and have worked in a few museums and galleries in my free time. I also love to watch tv (with reality tv being my guilty pleasure) and spending time with friends. I am picking up a new hobby of mixology, hope you like to try fancy drinks!

Music, Movies, and Books

I recently read Dataclysm, written by the creator (and mathematician) of OKCupid. It was a fascinating look at how people act online with one another (when they think no one is looking). I'd definitely recommend it to a data geek like me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to Japan for a month by myself, just after graduating from college. It was an amazing, and challenging, experience and I still keep in touch with people I had met on that trip seven years ago, today.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My fantastic story telling skills and sarcastic humor. My husband and I are very easy going and low maintenance people - and are more than willing to share that vibe with you.
