In March 2016 my husband Austin and I decided to give up our jobs and backpack the world for a year. I was a full dance teacher and nanny, and my husband sold medical devices. God provided an opportunity for us to backpack for a year, and we decided to go all in. We plan on visiting as many countries as we can, experiencing and learning about different cultures, people, and lifestyles abroad.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

We are couchsurfing for two reasons:
1. We want to be surrounded by people in the culture, getting to know their lifestyles opposed to the tourist side of travel.
2. We are looking to be as frugal as possible during our trip, so we can make it to all of the places we want to see.

Música, películas y libros

Katherine: Unlike my husband, I'm not as into books :) I really love all types of music. Growing up as as kid, there was always music playing, so I am very nostalgic to most music. I also love country, pop, and especially 80's!! When it comes to movies, I love marvel movies, christmas movies, and anything suspenseful. I really haven't seen any movies recently that I haven't liked.

Austin: I'm a book junkie, I love to read and listen to books as often as I can. My favorite topics are business and personal success, my favorite books are Good to Great by Jim Collins and Shoe Dog by Phil Knight. In terms of music, I like Country, Mumford & Sons, Elevation Worship, just to name a few. I have two favorite movies, The Prestige, and Law Abiding Citizens, but i love any action movies or anything suspenseful!
