About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To immerse myself in the new culture I am living in, and to master Arabic.
ABOUT ME
I am a Christian. Developing my relationship with God and understanding the Bible is important to me, and gives me inspiration for life. That said, I love meeting all kinds of different people, regardless of spiritual views. I enjoy knowing what makes people tick, and discussing things from a philosophical angle, but NOT debate or argument. Respect is important. I am rather non-conventional. I dislike mundane routine and get quickly bored - need new stimuli. I guess that is why I love to travel! There's more about me too, but you'll have to figure that out for yourself.
PHILOSOPHY
God is love. He who loves knows God.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have contributed to a few disucssions in various groups, and have made a few friends locally and abroad. Couch-surfed in Morocco, and it was a great experience.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couch-surfed in Morocco, which was a great start, but really, people in Morocco are so open, I got many invitations to visit Moroccans independently of CS.
Interests
People, and our common experiences, despite diverse backgrounds and varied personalites. Music of many kinds, especially classical. Trying to learn new languages. Nature and good food. Talking to interesting people and trying to learn something new.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not a big movie fan as I quickly lose concentration when it's just action. However, I can follow a good storyline in a film that doesn't move too fast. Forest Gump is wonderful - it moved me greatly! I read books about spiritual matters and travel guides. Occasionally I enjoy good fiction when I get the time. I listen to classical music and christian songs, but enjoy being introduced to music of other cultures.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I fell in the canal on my bike when visiting Amsterdam! My host told me she had lived in Amsterdam all her life and never seen anyone do that!
I gave birth! (Erm....not in the canal, and not on the Amsterdam trip!)
Teach, Learn, Share
If anyone is interested, I'm quite happy to share some Bible knowledge, but do NOT by any means feel compelled to do so. I respect others and their boundaries. I can also provide musical services (flute/piano) if you, for example need a pianist for a wedding or something. I would LOVE to improve my Arabic.
