About Me

Energetic, open-minded, sometimes silly person who spends all her money on food and travel. I want to live a big life that includes meeting a lot of people and exploring a lot of the world. My favorite places are green -- trees, gardens, parks, and the like. I really like words, especially unusual ones -- the best one I've encountered recently is "shilly-shally" (which means "to be indecisive").

I just graduated from university with a degree in history, French, and sustainability. Before starting my job as an English language assistant in Strasbourg, my boyfriend and I completed a bike tour across Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany.

I strongly believe that every person and every experience has something to offer, and that perspective changes everything (so I always try to adopt one of positivity).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking for people to befriend (and couches to surf on) during my all-too-brief stay in Europe. Also looking to pay forward all the kindness my boyfriend and I received during our European bike tour.

In general, I love meeting and learning about people of all walks and think couchsurfing is a great way to do both.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am open to all kinds of music, but particularly enjoy anything I can dance to.

Favorite books include the His Dark Materials series, Slaughterhouse Five, Game of Thrones, The Importance of Being Ernest, Cloud Atlas, The Kingkiller Chronicles, the Perks of Being a Wallflower...really anything, though fantasy will always hold a special place in my heart.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Horseback riding at Verden's Ende ("World's End") in Tønsberg, Norway and, afterwards, braving the wind and climbing onto rocks that overlook the frothy (and very cold!) ocean.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to do all things crafty -- knitting, jewelry-making, and decoupage are all hobbies of mine.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Haiti, Italy, Kenya, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom
