Overview
About Me
We are an artist couple, who met whilst studying at art school in London. I (Katherine) am from Lancashire in the north of England, and Martyn is from Kaunas in Lithuania, but has been living in England since he was small. We have both been living in London for about 5 years now. It's an expensive but very exciting place to live, especially if you are interested in Art.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We love to travel as much as possible, but our small budget means we like to do things on a shoestring! And equally, we would love to share our city with likeminded travellers.
*At the moment I'm afraid we cannot accept visitors as our flat is being renovated, but hopefully that will soon change!*
Interests
Art (video and painting mainly), learning languages, music (I play Irish traditional music and Martyn is into electronic music), cooking, cycling, hiking, birdwatching.

Music, Movies, and Books
We both love electronic music, house, techno etc. I have Irish heritage and play traditional Irish music on the flute, which is also a really nice social thing to do as often it is performed in pubs.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We hiked a large stretch of the GR92 in Catalonia in the middle of August, wild camping along the way! We nearly got arrested once (camping is forbidden there, but the sites were so expensive!) and at one point could count 40 mosquito bites on just one leg. Definitely one of the best things we've done! Waking up in a tent with a sea view on both sides is pretty amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
Between us we can speak 4 languages (english, french, german, lithuanian). We can also share some nice cooking with you!
