CURRENT MISSION

to travel across Canada on a working holiday visa (focussing on the holiday aspect initially!).

ABOUT ME

Outgoing and chatty Brit who's already exhausted working holiday visas in Australia and New Zealand and now in Canada to do the same (til Jan 2012)!

Focussing on the holiday aspect of the visa to start with so I've bought a car and will be driving with a mate (Karen) across from Vancouver to the East Coast & back (dipping into the US in the process).

Both Karen and I are law-abiding travellers who'd love to meet people along the way to get a truer feel of the town / city we're stopping at.

Keen to meet locals wherever I go & will be open to hosting when (if?) I get myself settled!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met a pilgrim whilst walking the Camino who introduced me to couchsurfing.com and gave me the best induction to hosting by coming to stay for a week, breaking his leg during that week and leaving 2months later! Needless to say, he's one of my best mates now, and, whilst he can't be replaced while I'm miles away from the UK, I'd be keen to make new connections across Canada and see if more genuine and fun friendships are lurking out there!

So very hard to choose as I feel very blessed but 2 major acheivements would be:
Sailing across the Atlantic Ocean
Walking the Camino de Santiago de Compostella in Spain
