ABOUT ME

When I travel I have developed a sort of split identity. The influence of my dad and brothers has made me ready to take on any hike that is surrounded by gorgeous scenery. My mom however has instilled in me the necessity to explore the culture and the history of the location I am lucky enough to be experiencing. Finally the tiny part that is just me, is content to curl up with a good book after a long day of travel and become lost to the world.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to experience as much of the world as humanly possible. Experiencing it with the people that I love the most, because memories are best when you can relive them for years after.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My brother hosted a group of four surfers in his two bedroom apartment this spring. It was so much fun because we had dinner with them and other college friends. The apartment was a buzz of excitement and it was wonderful talking with the surfers.

Music, Movies, and Books

As lame as it is I love Romantic Comedies because you know the ending to before it even starts...maybe that is missing the point of cinematography, but in a world where so much is up in the air I like the fact that even when something goes wrong in the middle I know the love interests will be together in the end.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I have done in my lifetime is swim in the blue grotto in Capri, Italy. Normally to see the blue grotto you have to pay a little boat to take into the grotto, however since it was wavy the boats were not going. So instead I went in just shorts and a sports bra and swam into the grotto. The ocean was the most beautiful blue from the sun. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.
