About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see La Roux and to run around NYC in celebration of my 30th year without spending much money. This mission is possible... I think...

ABOUT ME

I just turned 30 and am looking to go on an adventure this weekend in NYC while I treat myself to a La Roux concert for my birthday. I am an open minded, fun, easily amused person. If you're not cool with LGBT folk then please don't write me. I am open to making friends with others of all ethnicities, religions, and backgrounds - no judgment from me (that's not my job)!

PHILOSOPHY

Hakuna Matata (I promise, I am an adult... mostly.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I sleep on your couch, I tell your pets how cute they are, I laugh at your children (in a nice way!). Totally willing and able to trade sleep space for friendship, helping to clean up a bit, and/or making sure your pets or kids don't run outside or eat mystery items off of the floor!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no professional surfing experience - couch or otherwise...

Interests

cats, dogs, intersectional activism, watching others create (craft/art/fancy makeup/whatever), learning from others, Netflix/Amazon prime tv, reading all of the things

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kinds of music - pop, rock, electronic, rap, dubstep - if it's good, it's good! Currently though I am in love with La Roux and Tegan & Sara.

As for books, mostly scary real life stuff. Anything that'll put you on the edge of a panic attack (for example, Augusten Burroughs' books!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was on the first Soulforce Equality Ride in 2006 (Google it - there's a documentary and everything!). 30+ of us rode a bus around the United States speaking at Christian colleges about accepting LGBT students and diversity within religion.

Teach, Learn, Share

I hear that I'm a funny lady, so if you want to laugh I can try! I'm also good with feeling other's emotions out - if you're sad I'll know it and will try to help. I'm also great at helping with meal prep and cleaning!
