I live in the south-side area of Birmingham and am a high school science teacher in the city school district. I have a tiny house and a cat.

CouchSurfing has brought me warmth and love and friends when I was traveling, lonely. I have met soul-mates through this site. You're never alone if you don't want to be with CouchSuring. I'm amazed at the beautiful people the project brings together!

I have also had the damn fine experience of attending CS hosted parties; from potlucks, activist inspired film viewings, keggers, to raves! I witnessed a grown adult man dancing on top of a bar rented by a CSer for New Years in Berlin with a CS banner wrapped around his waist like a sarong. It was my first CS experience and I new immediately I was in the right place!
