About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"Knock on the sky and listen to the sound"

ABOUT ME

I'm from Georgia, USA, I smile a lot (as in I am very easy-going and generally stress-free), I really love speaking and learning French, meeting people, and taking pictures. I moved from Atlanta, Georgia to Montpellier, France in September of 2010 to teach English at a middle school in Beziers. I lived with two Frenchies in an apartment near the city center, and as a whole I really enjoyed the experience.

I just got hired to be a Residence Assistant at an American campus in Metz, France, so I officially get to stay here until at least August. For the moment I'm floating between Montpellier, Paris, Finland, and Metz, but as soon as I get fully installed I'll be able to host again chez moi.

I'm currently still searching for the ultimate career.. at the moment all I know is I want to be involved in something international, and I want to have to speak multiple languages for my work. I also want to do good for others- I feel like if you have a chance, that's the best way to spend your time.

Anyway, come squat at my place and we can have a chat!

Bonjour!

Music, Movies, and Books

Newest discoveries (this does not necessarily mean they are new artists): The Rolling Stones, Hot Hot Heat, Damien Rice, Los Hermanos, Fiona Apple

Currently working on Catch-22. That book jumps around so much that it's the easiest thing just to set it down and forget you were reading it.. but it's hilarious.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Although I'm not Catholic I watched the Pope give mass at St. Peter's Basilica.. and it was pretty great. I also square danced in the Gare du Nord in Paris :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can spin a flag and dance at the same time, and I make a mean Spaghetti Bolonnaise (that's spagbol for you Australians.)

I want to learn how to knit, and I need someone to remind me how to say "hey dude, where's my car" in French. I never really thought about it having a translation but someone told me awhile ago and then I forgot.. sad day.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom
