ABOUT ME

I'm an outgoing and openminded person. I love to travel and actually even make my living with it, working for a travel blog. I'm curious to try new things, see foreign places and learn about other cultures. I prefer chaos over structure - at least in my day-to-day life.

My passion lies with the still and the moving image - film, photography and film festivals are my main occupation besides travelling. But ideally I combine it all!

PHILOSOPHY

Everything will be fine in the end. If it's not fine, it's not the end yet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live in a tiny flat with a very broken couch, so I can't host at the moment. Also I'm gone way too much, to be a good host. BUT I am definitely fun to hang out with! I like showing you my city or just go out for a drink ;)

When I travel for work I often stay in hotels, but when I'm on holiday in a new place, I love the opportunity to meet locals, hang out with them and experience the city or country through their eyes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couch surfing experience was in my old hometown in Denmark - it was fantastic to get a new perspective on a well-known place!

Since then, I've stayed with people in Canada, the US and Costa Rica, found an amazing local guide in Brazil, and showed people around my own home town of Vienna. And of course, I have made friends for life!

my favourite movies include 2001: Space Odyssey, Apocalypse Now, Memento, Natural Born Killers, Pan's Labyrinth, Big Lebowski and Fantastic Mr. Fox - the best ones of 2014 so far were Only Lovers Left Alive, Boyhood, Mommy, In Order of Disappearance and Under The Skin.

I like to read, but don't have any tendencies towards a certain author or genre - unless maybe Stephen King and Charles Bukowski.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to choose, but crossing the Arctic Circle in Norway is probably one of them - or flying over the Canadian marshes and mountains in a float plane - or galopping over Costa Rica's beaches in the sunset - or swimming in the Amazon river? As I said it's hard to choose...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to cook the famous Viennese Schnitzel or how to say funny things in Danish. Also I have plenty of travel stories to share, can teach you how to use a camera or do an amateur yoga session with you!

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I said, I can cook and am very happy to do so for a dinner together.
